The governing bodies of public schools, independent schools and councils of technical colleges which submitted nominations for possible appointment to the Education Council for the Western Cape Province are thanked for their interest and co-operation. |

Your attention is drawn to the fact that the establishment and constitution of an Education Council for the Western Cape Province is still going ahead. |

The Western Cape Education Department is, however, reconsidering the regulations concerning the Education Council, especially those regarding the functions of the Council. As soon as this has been concluded, the process of appointing members will be continued. |
