The Revised National Curriculum Statement Grades R to 9 (Schools) will be introduced in Grades 4 to 6 in 2005. Training will take place in July 2004. |

The training of teachers of Grades 4 to 6 will take place for 4½ days during the weeks of 5 to 9 July and 12 to 16 July. |

The training of members of School Management Teams will take place for 1½ days on 1 and 2 July and on 19 and 20 July. |

The success of the 2003 Foundation Phase training was to a large extent due to the good attendance of the holiday training courses by teachers and school leaders. Schools which sent all their teachers to the same week of training found this to be a most effective way of building their teams and planning together. |
