One of the primary objectives of the Dassie Project is to ensure the systematic implementation of e-learning technology in the FET Colleges. It has therefore been decided to commence by incorporating e-learning methodologies in the subjects Industrial Electronics N2 and N3 in January 2003. |
2. |
This will be accomplished in the following manner:
|
2.1 |
|
A dedicated fully functional e-learning facility must be used for this purpose. |
2.2 |
|
The identified subject offerings are N2 and N3 Industrial Electronics. Other offerings may be included after consultation with the WCED. |
2.3 |
|
e-Learning periods are time-tabled as part of the general time-table. |
2.4 |
|
Learner groups are identified, selected and oriented accordingly. |
2.5 |
|
The available L3 content must be used and lesson units must be prepared from the current curriculum on the L3 platform. |
3. |
The following aspects of the Industrial Electronics syllabi have been identified as being particularly suitable for this purpose:
CONTENT GRADES
------------------------- -------
1. Atomic Theory N2 & N3
2. pn-Junction Theory N2 & N3
3. Semiconductor Transistors N2 & N3
4. Diode Applications N2 & N3
5. Mosfet construction N2 & N3
6. Zener Does N2 & N3
7. Bi-polar Transistors N2 & N3
|
4. |
Visit http://www.dassie.org.za for draft lesson units which will serve as basic guidelines for e-learning. |
5. |
The implementation progress will be closely monitored. |
Your co-operation in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
