The Western Cape Education Department has just been informed that the 8,5% salary adjustment and the 1% salary progression, both effective from 1 July 2003, will be paid out to educators and public service personnel with their July 2003 and August 2003 salaries respectively. |

Because of the urgent nature of this circular, it is issued only in electronic format. This means that no hard copies of the circular will be issued and therefore circuit managers are requested to ensure that the content of this circular is brought to the attention of all educational institutions under their control, especially those without computers. |
