In pursuance of Circular 0095/2003 of 16 April 2003, you are hereby informed that the closing date for receipt of applications for the severance package as indicated in paragraph 3 of the aforementioned circular, has been postponed till 25 June 2003. |

With regard to the exit date of service, i.e. the last day of duty, the WCED is obliged to give employees one month's notice of termination of service. In view of this employees whose applications are approved will leave the service of the WCED with effect from 1 August 2003. |

Employees who still wish to leave the service at the end of June 2003 may submit a written request to that effect, but they will have to sign an agreement that the WCED will not be held responsible if their pension monies are not received by middle September 2003 at the soonest. |

The contents of this circular must please be brought to the attention of all personnel under your control and the members of school governing bodies. |
