CIRCULAR: 0024101 SUBJECT: ANNUAL LEAVE: EDUCATORSResolution 7/2000 provides for 10 (ten) days' annual leave for educators at schools. This annual leave must be utilized taking into account the service delivery requirements of the employer. Attention is kindly drawn to the fact that the overall leave policy as a result of the new leave dispensation brought about the Resolution 7/2000 is still in the process finalization. However, it is clear that the granting of the 10 days annual leave educators will seriously disrupt the teaching and learning process and thus the se delivery requirements of the WCED. It has therefore been decided that the 10 annual leave will for the interim not be granted to educators until such time that departmental policy in this regard has been finalised. Heads of institutions must bring the contents of this circular to all staff members by having them sign and date it. Your co-operation will be appreciated. HEAD: EDUCATION |
